! One of the main signature pieces for the group, this follow-up release
! to "Along Comes Mary" rose to #1 nationally, and remained there for over
! three months. (Maybe in Japan; in the US, it was #1 for three weeks.)
! This song was a result of Terry Kirkman's fascination with the word
! "Cherish". The group's music publisher fought the title, believing it
! was too archaic. Arranged by the group, this song went through three
! completely different productions before being recorded. At the time, it
! was not considered for release as a single record. Fortunately, a disc
! jockey in Ohio took it upon himself to cause a regional breakout.
